He attended Florida State University on a football scholarship, playing li nebacker and tight end under legendary coach Bobby Bowden — a man Patrick credits as a Christian mentor and lasting influence. During his time at FSU, Patrick was active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, though he candidly acknowledges that much of hi s college life did not reflect Christ. He graduated with a degree in Nutrition and Food Science (Dietetics) and went on to build a career in medical nutrition sales leadership, specializing in rare diseases, metabolic disorders, and epilepsy. After college , Patrick returned home and began attending a nondenominational church that emphasized Bible study and teaching. His decision to be water baptized and publicly profess his faith marked a turning point. From then on, Patrick dedicated himself to serving God and others through teaching, mentoring, and ministry. He has led men ’ s Bible studies, Sunday school classes, home groups, and even prison ministry — bringing the hope of the Gospel to inmates serving life sentences. Patrick married his high school sweethear t in 1990, and together they have experienced both profound blessings and deep trials. Today, Patrick ’ s passion is preaching and teaching God ’ s Word in a way that is clear, practical, and accessible for the “ regular guy. ” His heart ’ s desire is to help p eople know Scripture deeply and hear the voice of God personally. He often reflects on Jesus ’ words: “ My sheep know my voice. ” For Patrick, this means that knowing Christ requires knowing His Word.
